1. What Brian stores

Brian Memory stores the memories you create through your interactions with Claude via the MCP integration. This includes:

  • Memory content (text you choose to save)
  • Memory metadata (type, tags, salience score, timestamps)
  • Session records (topic, start/end times)
  • Document metadata and content chunks for semantic search
  • Your email address and account settings

If you connect Google Drive, Brian stores an OAuth refresh token to access your Drive on your behalf. Brian only accesses files and folders you explicitly upload or index through the MCP tools.

2. How your data is used

Your data is used solely to provide the Brian Memory service:

  • Storing and retrieving memories for your Claude conversations
  • Generating embeddings for semantic search
  • Uploading documents to your Google Drive when requested
  • Producing session summaries

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

3. Third-party services

Brian uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage
  • OpenAI— generating text embeddings for semantic search (content is sent to OpenAI's embedding API)
  • Google Drive API — storing and retrieving documents on your behalf (only when you connect Drive)
  • Vercel — web application hosting
  • Resend — transactional email delivery

4. Data isolation

All data is isolated per user via Supabase Row Level Security (RLS). You can only access your own memories, settings, and documents. No other user can see your data.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your memories are stored until you delete them. You can delete individual memories at any time through the MCP tools or the web dashboard. If you want to delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at support@imbrian.io.

6. Cookies

Brian uses essential cookies for authentication session management. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data Brian stores about you (via the dashboard or MCP tools)
  • Delete any or all of your memories
  • Disconnect Google Drive at any time
  • Delete your account and all associated data
